Joe Donahue for District 6

Howdy Neighbor, I’m Joe Donahue, and I’m excited to be running for Alderperson for District 6 on the Stevens Point Common Council.

I grew up in Janesville, Wisconsin, as one of six kids, where I learned the value of hard work, responsibility, and looking out for others. I graduated from UW–Platteville in 1988 with a degree in Finance and Management, and in 1994 my wife, DeeAnn, and I made the move to Stevens Point for work. Before long, we decided this would be our permanent home.

I worked in industrial sales for many years before recently retiring. After decades in the workforce, I’m grateful to now have the time and opportunity to give back to the community.

We raised our children here in Stevens Point, and many of our family members and friends still live in District 6 and throughout the Stevens Point area, including our daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter. Stevens Point is a beautiful place to live, work, and raise a family.

I’m running because I want to help sustain what makes our community special while also working to make it even better for future generations. I believe in responsible decision-making, respect for taxpayers, and listening to the neighbors I represent.
